Roger Mayweather, top flight boxing trainer and the uncle to former champ Floyd "Money" Mayweather Jr., is dead at 58, according to TMZ.
With Roger often in his corner, Floyd ran up a 49-0 lifetime record before hanging-up the gloves in 2015. Floyd came back in 2017 for a non-title bout against MMA fighter Conor McGregor. That became win number 50.
Roger, himself a former fighter and champion, boxed for 18 years before retiring in 1999. He'd reportedly been in poor health before his death on Tuesday. His cause of death has not been reported.
Roger is the second loved one Floyd, 43, lost this month. Josie Harris, the mother of Floyd's three children, was found dead in a car near her home in Valencia, Calif., according to The Blast. She was 40. Her cause of death has not been made known either.
