Rockies-Marlins game postponed; doubleheader set for Wednesday

DENVER — With light rain falling Tuesday afternoon at Coors Field and heavy storms in the forecast, the Rockies’ game vs. the Marlins was postponed.

The teams are now scheduled to play a traditional doubleheader on Wednesday, with the first game set to begin at 1:10 p.m. The second game is scheduled to begin no later than 45 minutes after the conclusion of the first game.

Manager Bud Black said that right-handers German Marquez and Antonio Senzatela will be Colorado’s two starters. Marquez was originally slated to pitch in Tuesday’s game vs. Miami. Senzatela will be making his first start since going on the 15-day injured list on May 17 with a strained lower back.

The Rockies (22-26) rebounded from a tough 2-5 road trip to beat Miami, 7-1, on Monday.

Ticket information

Only tickets for the original Wednesday game will be valid for the doubleheader. The same ticket is good for either or both games in the same designated seat location. Fans will not be required to exit the ballpark between the games.

Tickets from Tuesday’s postponed game which were purchased directly from the Colorado Rockies will either be credited to their original account or refunded to the credit card from which they were purchased. These ticket holders will be contacted via email with additional details.

Parking lots on Wednesday will open at 10:00 a.m. with gates A and E opening at 11:00 a.m. and gates B, C and D opening at 11:30 a.m..

Complementary tickets have a value of zero dollars and therefore may not be refunded or exchanged for another game. Discounted tickets are only valid for the amount paid to the Rockies and are subject to any constraints applicable to the original sale.

Secondary market customers for Tuesday’s postponed game should contact the customer service department from which the purchase was made. Secondary market tickets are not valid for credit/refund or exchange through the Colorado Rockies.
