Robert Lewandowski hands Erling Haaland transfer advice following Manchester United interest

Robert Lewandowski has advised Erling Haaland to continue his development with Borussia Dortmund amid reports linking him with a move this summer.

Norway sensation Haaland only moved to the Bundesliga in the January transfer window after sealing a move from RB Salzburg following an incredible start to the season.

The 19-year-old netted an astonishing 29 goals in 27 games while playing for the Austrian champions which led to interest from Manchester United earlier in the year.

Haaland eventually rejected United to move to Dortmund and has carried on his incredible scoring streak with 12 goals in his first 11 games for the club.

Such form has attracted even more speculation over his future with United and Real Madrid both linked with a move to sign the teenager in the summer transfer window.

However, Bayern Munich striker Lewandowski has urged his domestic rival to stay in Germany and use the opportunity to further his remarkable development.

“He has huge potential, but still has time. I don't want to put any pressure on him with my statements," the Poland international said.

“If he works hard, he can become a better player and eventually reach the top level. Therefore it might be good for him if he would stay in the Bundesliga longer before taking the next step.”
