Robert Kraft reacts to Bill Belichick failing to land NFL coaching job

Many have already voiced their opinions on Bill Belichick failing to land a coaching job this hiring cycle. Now, New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft is weighing in on the matter.

Belichick officially was shut out of this hiring cycle when Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator Dan Quinn took the final head coaching job opening for the Washington Commanders. That means Belichick won’t be on an NFL sideline for the first time since 1974.

Belichick going unhired was one of the biggest storylines of this head-coaching cycle.

Kraft was asked about Belichick being out of a head coaching role, when on the red carpet with Fox News, before the MusiCares Gala. He took the opportunity to praise the former Patriots coach.

“He’s pretty special, and we were lucky to have him for a quarter of a century. So we only wish him well,” said Kraft.

Belichick’s job status is certainly surreal, given that he led two separate Patriots’ dynasties in the 2000s and 2010s. But as the old saying goes, all good things must come to an end at some point.
