Robert Irwin Sends The Internet Into Tears With DWTS Routine Dedicated To Terri Irwin

The world has been reduced to a sobbing mess after Robert Irwin shared the Dancing With The Stars US stage with his mother, Terri Irwin, in his most moving performance yet.

For Week Five’s Dedication Night, Australia’s wildlife prince chose to honour his mother through his contemporary routine with dancing partner Witney Carson.

Ahead of the emotional dance, which was performed to the tune of Phil Collins‘ “You’ll Be In My Heart” from the iconic 90s Disney flick Tarzan, Robert said he dedicated the performance to Terri to recognise the strength she has carried since the tragic passing of Steve Irwin.

“Tonight I dance for my mum, the strongest person I know. My mum and dad created a legacy that I’m proud to continue,” Robert shared on X ahead of the dance.

“I hope I can use this dance to share what she means to me, to our family, and to say thank you for always supporting me through life’s ups and downs. See you tonight.”

While the message and the song choice would already send you to tears, it’s the ending of the dance that has the judges, the viewers and the internet in a hot mess.

At the end of the dance, Terri replaced Witney’s place, holding hands with her beloved son. The pair then shared a hug as Robert sobbed into her arms.

Naturally, with such a touching dance, song and ending, the internet has gone into overdrive with their emotions.

I understand Australians have no say in what happens on Dancing With The Stars US. However, we think Robert needs his flowers for this amazing performance, STAT.
