Robert De Niro reportedly called former employee a 'brat' and ‘history’ in leaked voicemails

Earlier this year it was reported that Robert De Niro’s company Canal Productions was suing a former employee for binge-watching hours of television while at work.

Now it has emerged that De Niro allegedly left the employee aggressive voicemails where he said, “You’re f***ing history” and called her a “b***h” and “brat."

The woman in question, Graham Chase Robinson also says she was a victim of “gratuitous unwanted physical contact” as De Niro said “sexually-charged comments to her” when she worked at Canal Productions.

The charges were named in a lawsuit filed on Thursday in Manhattan federal court for gender discrimination and wage violations.

In the lawsuit, she also claims that the actor had her do “stereotypically female duties, like housework” and would meet with her wearing his “pajamas or a bathrobe.”

According to Variety, Robinson was originally sued by Canal Productions for $6 million for binge-watching Netflix - reportedly watching 55 episodes of the show in just four days - as well as ordering takeout and charging it to the company.

Robinson was hired by De Niro as an assistant at his production company in 2008, eventually being promoted to vice-president of production and finance.

In the original lawsuit, Chase was accused of "breaching her fiduciary duties, violation of the faithless service doctrine and conversion.”

Friends is allegedly not the only show Robinson watched at work. She also reportedly watched 20 episodes of Arrested Development and 10 of Schitt's Creek.

The Evening Standard has reached out to Robert De Niro's reps for comment.
