Robbie Fowler leads tributes to Mohamed Salah after breaking stunning Liverpool record

Mohamed Salah has been praised by Liverpool players past and present after becoming the all-time leading scorer in the Premier League for the Reds.

The Egyptians two goals against Manchester United in the thumping 7-0 win at Anfield on Sunday evening put him level with Robbie Fowler and then out in front on his own.

Salah now has 129 goals in the Premier League for Liverpool since transferring from Roma back in the summer of 2017 for around £37 million.

Former record holder Fowler was at Anfield to witness the end of him leading the way for Premier League goals for the Reds as he sent his congratulations to Salah.

"Huge congrats @MoSalah #LiverpoolLegend," Fowler posted on Twitter.

Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson posted a picture of himself with 'the king' as he congratulated Salah on his achievement.

"What a team performance that was! Congratulations to the king on his new record."

Ex-Liverpool left-back Jose Enrique praised the Egyptian King for his 129 Premier League goals for the Reds.

"Record breaker Mo Salah becomes Liverpool's All-time leading scorer in the premier league with 129 goals! Not bad for a one season wonder."

This Liverpool supporter labelled Salah as the 'best Premier League player' to have ever played for the club after his record breaking goals.

"Salah breaks the PL record for us against them. Words can’t describe how good he is. Best PL player ever for our club."

'Incredible' Salah broke Fowler's record in 61 fewer games in the league: "Mo Salah, just incredible. 61 fewer games than Robbie Fowler to break his record. What a signing he’s been."
