Rita Ora finally addresses those infamous Beyonce and Jay Z 'third woman' rumours

Rita Ora has finally cleared up those 'Becky With The Good Hair Rumours'.

During a candid chat with Louis Theroux, the How We Do singer, 32, addresses the time she was once accused of being 'the other woman' in Beyonce and Jay Z 's relationship thanks to some badly time snaps.

Rita insists she was never romantically involved with her former mentor Jay Z at any point during their working relationship, and reveals the hilarious gift pal Katy Perry gave her to help her laugh off the false rumours.

Back in 2016, Beyonce broke the internet when she released her sixth studio album, Lemonade - with the record featuring several songs implying Jay Z had been unfaithful with a mystery woman.

Lyrics about 'Becky', the other woman 'with the good hair', led to Rita being accused of having an affair with Jay Z thanks to the British singer accidentally dropping what was perceived by fans as a few 'hints' online at the time.

Fans eager to discover the woman involved in the rapper's extramarital affair spotted Rita had posted a selfie of herself on Snapchat wearing a bikini top with lemons on it, in addition to rocking a necklace that seemingly bared the letter 'J'.

Quizzing her about the accusations, Louis asked: "One of the things that comes up a lot when Beyoncé had her album was a mysterious woman called Becky With The Good Hair, who allegedly Jay Z had cheated on.

"And then at some point in 2016, with Lemonade in the air, you posted a picture of yourself with lemons on your bra and a 'J' around your neck."

Looking exasperated, Rita rolled her eyes and replied: "Oh my God, it literally was a coincidence and I didn't even think about it.

Rita discusses the rumours during her recent BBC interview (BBC)

"I swear. And it wasn't a 'J' it was an 'r'. They flipped it round and it looked like a 'J'."

The recently married star added: "It was my own design with an underwear company called Tezenis that I was working with. This is what I mean, man. Pinch of salt. You've gotta take things with a pinch of salt."

Rita then revealed: "And that's what's insane - I just had to sit through that until a good friend of mine, Katy Perry, gave me a hilarious badge that said 'Not Becky'."

So now we know for sure Rita isn't 'Becky With The Good Hair'.

The singer, who tied the knot with filmmaker Taika Waititi over the summer, first tried to put the rumours to bed in 2016 during an interview with Vanity Fair magazine.

She told the publication: "I find it incredibly rude and disrespectful to women in general [when] we get accused of something that’s basically against the important part — the music."

The R.I.P singer went on to add: ""Beyoncé was one of my biggest idols growing up."

Another rumour involving Rita has been cleared up by an ex this week (Getty)

In 2008, Rita signed with Jay Z's label Roc Nation and released her debut album, but sued them seven years later, with her case claiming she was being neglected and felt like she had no support from the label anymore.

The two parties eventually came to an agreement and reached a settlement out of court.

Earlier this week, Rita's ex-boyfriend Calvin Harris addressed long-standing rumours he was the reason the singer's second album was scrapped.

The Scottish music mogul, who is now engaged to Radio 1 DJ Vick Hope, told a Twitter user how the speculation was nonsense and he actually only worked on one unreleased song.
