Richard Keys brands Kieran Tierney 'an idiot' as Arsenal star restrained during wild Leeds flashpoint

A visibly angry Kieran Tierney was held back by players from both Arsenal and Leeds after a flashpoint at Elland Road before earning a cutting verdict from Richard Keys.

The Scotland star made a beeline for Ezgjan Alioski who had been the victim of Nicolas Pepe's stupid headbutt that led to his dismissal.

But Tierney wasn't happy and a host of players and coaches from both teams had to guide him off the pitch after the ill-tempered 0-0 draw.

And his international teammate Liam Cooper had to have a word as he continually tried to get back to Alioski to settle the score.

But his Arsenal anger at the final whistle didn't go unnoticed by beIN Sports host Keys who hit out at the £25m former Celtic left-back.

He said: "He just needs to get himself off now Tierney. He's just being an idiot. Get off!"

Tierney was excellent during the 90 minutes and his lung-bursting runs were the most reliable attacking outlet for Mikel Arteta's side on a frustrating day in Yorkshire.
