Leeds Rhinos head coach Richard Agar said some of his players fell well below standards in their defeat to Wigan Warriors.
The Rhinos suffered a 34-12 defeat to Wigan, their second straight defeat at the start of the season.
While last week they impressed in defeat to Warrington, this week, they did not. Agar was bitterly disappointed with some of his players and admitted he had a feeling of what was to come after addressing his players at the interval when they trailed 12-6.
"I thought for the first 20 to 25 minutes we had a real contest on our hands, I was happy with how we were going," he told Sky Sports.
"When we have that Liam Tindall break and going out of touch on tackle one, we made an error coming out of yardage and we didn't get a look in after that.
"We sensed a bit at half-time we weren't getting much response at half-time and they duly obliged in the opening 20 minutes of the second half."
Understandably, it was his side's defence that disappointed Agar the most.
"Defensively we were so far off in line speed, contact and hit, it was a really poor and flat defensive performance.
"We had some really poor individual performances, really poor, some errors that if you want to play any team in this competition you're not going to get away with the fundamental errors we made tonight. It was a poor showing from us.
"I said before the game we have guys that are miffed they weren't selected last week and judging on today's performance some guys are trying to play their way out of the team.
"But we'll see what we've got and what's available to us before we make any rash calls after the emotion of a disappointing performance."
To make matters worse, Ash Handley left the field with a hip problem and Cameron Smith was withdrawn with a back injury. Both will be assessed over the weekend.
