Rhod Gilbert at Edinburgh Fringe: Comic set for ten night run and you can still get tickets

Multi award-winning comedian Rhod Gilbert is set for a ten night run at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe later this month – and you can still get tickets to see him.

The Welsh stand-up is bringing his new show The Book of John to the Edinburgh International Conference Centre with performances from 14 to 18 August and then 21 to 25 August.

Two of the dates are currently sold out but at time of writing tickets for the majority were still up for grabs.

Rhod is a household name who has appeared on TV hits such as Rhod Gilbert's Work Experience, Would I Lie to You?, The Apprentice: You're Fired, Have I Got News For You and Live at The Apollo.

He is now returning to the stage at this year's Festival after a seven year break with his brand new routine.

The comic says a lot has happened in that time, most of it not very good, but when he thought he'd hit rock bottom he met a bloke called John – hence the title The Book of John.

The Fringe show is said to see "Rhod as funny as ever, but like never before". Audiences can expect it to be raw, personal and brutally honest.

Rhod Gilbert: The Book of John is recommended for those aged 16 and over. Tickets are priced at £22.50, and to get your hands on them click here .
