BHOPAL: Piplani police have registered a case of fraud on Sunday, two year after a retired police inspector was allegedly duped online of Rs 1 lakh.
Investigation officer Vijay said that the complainant Rajendra Kumar Rajput, 65, a resident of Chhatrasal Nagar, and a retired police officer fell in the trap of online fraudsters two years back in June 2020 while he was trying to do online shopping. The accused siphoned Rs 1 lakh from his bank account online. He had filed a complaint with the cyber crime branch on which a zero FIR was registered and the case diary was forwarded to Piplani police on Sunday.
