Members of a community have voiced concerns after a cannabis farm potentially worth thousands of pounds was found on their doorstep.
It is after police executed a search warrant on January 20 this year at an address in Main Road, Wilford, to find a complete set-up inside.
The walls of the house had been painted dark, the windows boarded over. Inside there were sodium lights, timers, ducting in the chimney, humidifiers and fans.
If sold at £10 per gram, the potential yield would have been £18,480 at its lowest and over £55,000 at its highest.
Three men pleaded guilty to producing cannabis and were sentenced on Tuesday (July 7) at Crown Court.
Residents in the area said they are concerned that such an operation took place in a 'quiet' village.
Student Ali Liban, of West Bridgford, 34, said: "It is quite surprising for a quiet village like this one.
"It also has two primary schools in the area so it is quite alarming.
"It should be unusual for a place like this.
"It is definitely concerning, especially because people living here would not expect it."
A local resident who lives near to where the plants were discovered said he now feels "uncomfortable" in the neighbourhood.
Phil Davy, of Main road, 34, added: "I knew that this side of town has a problem with it.
"People think it is less likely to get caught if you live do it in a quiet village so they just go for it.
"So it does not surprise me.
"I am not overly surprised, but it makes me feel uncomfortable."
Another resident, who wished to remain anonymous, said: "My family and I are very worried about it.
"This kind of thing destroys the reputation of the village.
"It is just concerning to know that it could happen on you doorstep."
