Report: Where Lakers, 76ers Stand Among Preferred Trade Destinations for Bulls’ LaVine

Bulls guard Zach LaVine is 28, two years removed from back-to-back All-Star appearances, and under club control for at least two (and possibly three) years after the 2023–24 season.

He is, in short, the exact kind of player liable to be traded—especially as his team, Chicago, has looked listless in a 4–8 start.

With speculation rampant surrounding what LaVine’s future will look like, the veteran has reportedly identified several desirable destinations as the Bulls mull their next steps.

According to a Friday afternoon report from Yahoo! Sports’s Jake Fischer, LaVine’s top choices for a potential trade are the LakersHeat and 76ers

The Los Angeles Lakers, Miami Heat and Philadelphia 76ers are among the teams that Chicago Bulls guard Zach LaVine has interest in, per a new report.

Each holds obvious appeal: LaVine played collegiately at UCLA, Miami’s desire for a third star has been well documented, and Philadelphia has opened a blistering 8–3.

In addition to those three teams, Fischer wrote that LaVine is interested in the Spurs and Kings. San Antonio boss Gregg Popovich coached LaVine in the 2020 Olympics, and LaVine nearly joined Sacramento while a restricted free agent in ’18.

LaVine is averaging 21.7 points per game so far this season, which would constitute his lowest average since his first year with Chicago in 2018.
