Report: Philadelphia Eagles expected to sign Luke Juriga to the practice squad

In a move that was expected, the Philadelphia Eagles are set to sign former Western Michigan star Luke Juriga to their 16 man practice squad per Mike Kaye of NJ.com.

Juriga was one of 12 players waived on Thursday, but the expectation always that the Eagles would utilize space on the practice squad to develop a player that could have a long future in Philadelphia.

Juriga earned first-team All-Mac honors as a senior after switching over from the guard position. A huge player, Juriga stands 6-foot-3, 301 pounds, and at 22 years old, is likely Jason Kelce’s replacement at center.
