Report: Packers and Raiders will be ‘all over’ Cory Littleton in free agency

Cory Littleton has been one of the Rams’ most valuable defenders the last two years, starting every game and playing more than 94% of the team’s snaps in that span. He’s racked up 259 tackles, five interceptions and 7.5 sacks since 2018, too, posting very productive numbers in the middle of the Rams defense.

After two outstanding seasons on relatively low salaries, Littleton is set to cash in this offseason. Whether that’s with Los Angeles or another team remains to be seen, but two teams are reportedly going to make strong pushes for him during the legal tampering period.

According to Vic Tafur of The Athletic, the Packers and Raiders will both be “all over” Littleton if he hits free agency.

Both teams need linebacker help and Littleton would be a strong fit with either franchise. Bill Huber of PackerCentral.com previously reported the Packers’ interest in Littleton, too, so it seems Green Bay will be vying for his services this week.

The Rams’ cap space is limited, having less than $20 million to spend this offseason. With Dante Fowler, Andrew Whitworth and Michael Brockers also hitting free agency, Los Angeles has some difficult decisions to make.

Steve Wyche of NFL Network indicated at the combine that Littleton would be the top priority for the Rams after speaking to Sean McVay, but it may be tough for them to retain him if other teams back up the Brinks truck to pay him in free agency.
