Former Tennessee Titans cornerback Logan Ryan remains on the open market, but a new suitor might be emerging for his services.
According to the New York Daily News’ Manish Mehta, the New York Jets are having “internal discussions” about freeing up money for Ryan.
“The Daily News has learned that Gang Green has had internal discussions to free up money to make a run at former Patriots and Titans defensive back Logan Ryan.”
Ryan was reportedly seeking at least $10 million per season in any contract, which is what he made with the Titans in 2019. Apparently, no team has bit on those demands until this point, though.
The 29-year-old corner, who has also played for the New England Patriots during his career, spent three seasons with the Titans and had arguably the best season of his Nashville tenure in 2019.
Ryan finished with a team-high 113 tackles, but he also posted 4.5 sacks, eight QB hits, four interceptions and 18 passes defensed.
