Report: Georgia baseball to play unique exhibition game at end of October

The Georgia baseball team may not take the field for an official game until February, but that doesn’t mean the Bulldogs won’t have any action in the fall.

Recently, it was announced that Georgia will clash with longtime rival Florida on the diamond, just one night before the two schools meet nextdoor on the gridiron.

Coming off a historic 46-17 season that included a sweep of the Gators, Scott Stricklin’s bunch will look for even more bragging rights in Jacksonville.

We will find out more details on this unique matchup when they are available, but are excited about the news.

This is great for college baseball and will only help to grow its popularity.

As the game continues to expand, more and more marquee offseason exhibition matchups are being scheduled.

Which gets us thinking, could this be a hint that the Georgia-Florida game is not getting moved anytime soon? *(Prepares for utter chaos in the comments)*
