Report: Colts to host EDGE Jaylon Ferguson on pre-draft visit

The Indianapolis Colts will be entering the 2019 NFL Draft likely looking to add to their pass rush. Where that will be remains to be seen, but they are certainly doing their due diligence on players at the position.

The Colts are reportedly set to host Louisiana Tech edge rusher Jaylon Ferguson on a pre-draft visit, per Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.

The Colts are among the many teams that are visiting with Ferguson before the draft likely because his invite to the NFL combine was rescinded due to an off-field issue that made him ineligible to participate, per the league’s policy.

Ferguson is the NCAA’s all-time sack leader having recorded 45.0 career sacks during his four years at Louisiana Tech. He’s been productive, but there are still some questions about his athleticism.

There was some even bigger concerns after Ferguson reportedly posted a three-cone time of 8.08 seconds at his pro day. That’s an extremely discouraging time for an edge rusher.

It remains to be seen if the Colts will have any interest in drafting Ferguson, but it appears they will be doing all they can to best make their decision.
