Report: Chargers’ Forrest Lamp out for rest of season

The Chargers can’t catch a break with the injuries this season.

Guard Forrest Lamp is out for the remainder of the season after sustaining a broken ankle, according to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport.

Lamp suffered the injury in the second quarter of Sunday’s loss to the Titans. Quarterback Philip Rivers got knocked down and he fell on Lamp’s legs causing them to get buckled.

He was in excruciating pain when he was on the ground and had to be carted off the field.

The loss of Lamp is a huge blow to an offensive line that recently lost center Mike Pouncey.

On top of that, it took two seasons for Lamp to get on the playing field after he suffered a knee injury in his rookie campaign.

Moving forward, Dan Feeney will play in place of Lamp at left guard, while Scott Quessenberry starts at center.
