Report: Cardinals COO Ron Minegar to step down

The Arizona Cardinals will have an executive position to fill in the months to come. Executive vice president and chief operating officer Ron Minegar will leave the positions he has held for 20 years.

According to the Arizona Republic’s Bob McManaman, Minegar has informed the team he will step down in the spring.

Minegar joined the Cardinals in his role as EVP/COO in 2000 after leaving Disney Sports.

Minegar ran into legal troubles last year when he was arrested for a DUI in August. He was suspended by the team for six weeks and fined $200,000.

The team has not made any announcement about the decision. that will surely come when they make changes to replace him or reorganize things.
