Reds fans snap up Paris final T-shirts from Anfield's famous Hat, Scarf or a Badge shop

Liverpool FC are in another European Cup Final and Reds fan Mick Deane has been hard at work designing his latest T-shirt for Kopites to parade in Paris.

And hardcore Reds, football personalities and celebrities have already snapped up Mick's designs in time for this Saturday night's big game against Spanish champions Real Madrid.

Some of the famous names who will be wearing the T-shirts in the bars and restaurants of the French capital's left bank are Reds legend and Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher, Jamie's dad Philly, Liverpool-born Preston North End manager Ryan Lowe and former Premier League footballer Bradley Orr. TV chefs Simon Rimmer and Tom Kitchen have also picked up their T-shirts.

Anfield-resident Mick, who runs the small shop with his wife Michelle, said: "It's great to have seen so many fans in the shop buying the T-shirts for Paris and other items of stock that we have, like caps and hoodies. It makes us feel very proud when we see people wearing them at the match.

"We're only a small business and we run it from a tiny shop near Anfield and it makes us very happy that Liverpool fans proudly wear our T-shirts.

"The T-shirts last a long time and after five or six years they still look new because they are quality. So they will last forever if washed correctly.

"We've done two Paris T-shirts for the final. The le kop sportif one was taken from memories of when I was a kid seeing that iconic green St Etienne kit with the le coq sportif logo on. So we adapted it to add a Liverbird instead of a cockerel and le kop instead of le coq."

The match between Liverpool and French side St Etienne in 1977 is regarded by many Kopites as the best atmosphere to have ever been created at Anfield and the Reds' victory over Les Verts propelled Les Rouges onto win the European Cup for the first time two months later in Rome against Borussia Monchengladbach.

EastEnders actor Adam wears HSOAB gear at Wembley final

Even the EastEnders are getting in on the act of wearing Mick's T-shirts.

Mick added: "Recently Ian Beale was spotted at Wembley in one of our tees, which was great to see."

Adam Woodyatt, who plays the fictional character of Ian Beale in the BBC One soap opera, was proudly pictured at the FA Cup Final wearing one of Mick's T-shirt's.

Adam's Wembley T-shirt pictured some of the Liverpool players, including goalkeeper Alisson Becker. That's clearly one that late launderette assistant Dot Cotton would have approved of given the amount of clean sheets the Reds keeper has made for the club.

Liverpool are hoping to win a seventh European Cup against Real this weekend and Mick is praying to be in Paris for the final, but he is having an agonising wait for his passport to arrive.

Mick said: "I've been to all of the European Cup finals that Liverpool have played in and I just hope I get my passport in time. Because of the passport delays it's been a longer wait than usual to get a passport. I'm just waiting on a call from the Passport Office now. Fingers crossed I get it in time. It would be great to see fans in Paris wearing our T-shirts and see the Reds make it number seven."

* HSOAB, at 371 Walton Breck Road in Anfield, will be open between 3pm to 6pm on Wednesday, May 25. The best way to order is from the website at https://hat-scarf-or-a-badge.com/
