Across portions of the southeast, there has been a sweep of weather, with lingering showers from Virginia down to the Carolinas in South Carolina. While not severe, pop-up storms have been occurring throughout the day, expected to continue into the evening before clearing out.
Looking at the national forecast, the Midwest and Northeast are experiencing cooler temperatures, while warm air is settling in the central part of the country. Over the next few days, approximately 150 million people will see above-average temperatures, with that number increasing to 250 million by Tuesday. Some areas may even see potential record warm lows, with over 200 communities expected to experience record warmth in the coming week.

The warm trend will continue, with temperatures remaining above average for a significant portion of the country. While the West Coast may see a slight cooling trend early next week, the warm air will persist and move eastward. A new storm system is expected to develop along a frontal boundary, but overall, the weather will feel very spring-like for many in the week ahead.
This shift towards warmer temperatures is likely to encourage outdoor activities, with many people expected to take advantage of the pleasant weather. Golf enthusiasts, in particular, may find themselves eager to dust off their clubs and hit the course.
