Rebel Wilson celebrates Thanksgiving with newborn daughter after partying backlash

Rebel Wilson was surrounded by family as she celebrated her baby daughter's first Thanksgiving.

The Hollywood actress, 42, was joined by her girlfriend Ramona Agruma and mum Sue Bownds as the trio made the day extra special for Rebel's new bundle of joy Royce Lillian.

The Bridesmaids star took to Instagram to share a series of snaps of the celebrations, after sparking outrage for enjoying several night's out following the birth of her first child.

Rebel showed off her cooking skills as she worked up a sweat in the kitchen. She posed for the camera with knives in hand as she prepared to carve up the turkey.

She then posted an adorable snap of her and Ramona, as Rebel cradled Royce in her arms.

She made sure to obscure her daughter's face with a fun turkey emoji to keep her baby out of the limelight.

Rebel's last snap from the family's feast showed her posing next to Sue and Ramona, as Rebel's girlfriend beamed with pride holding a salad she had made.

Sue seemed to be enjoying the beverages on offer and posed with a glass of wine in hand.

Rebel's Thanksgiving celebrations come after she faced severe backlash online for going out to celebrate the birth of her miracle baby, with some of her fans insisting she should be at home with her little one.

Rebel faced backlash from mothers on social media after footage surfaced of her partying just weeks after welcoming her first child.

The Australian actress shared photos and videos of herself on the dance floor with her girlfriend Ramona Agruma and other celebrities including Paris Hilton.

Rebel and her girlfriend attended Hilton's virtual realm 'Paris World', and the event took place five days after the actress announced her child's birth.

"Should be at home with your baby instead," fumed one person after seeing the snaps on Instagram.

"I sure as heck wouldn’t have left my newborn to go partying the week she was born! Whether I had birthed her myself or not is irrelevant," another echoed.

"Where is your baby and who is looking after her? I'm a new mother and couldn't even think about leaving my baby so soon after giving birth," another mum complained.

However, plenty of other fans defended Rebel, arguing that 'mothers are allowed to have time to themselves too'.

"Leave her alone and stop hating on her," one commented.

"She can do what she wants and she can celebrate how she wants. Shut up."
