Rebekah Vardy thanks 'amazing' NHS after spending the night at Leicester Children's A&E

Rebekah Vardy has paid tribute to NHS staff following an overnight stay at Leicester Children's A&E Hospital.

The WAG, 40, took to social media earlier today [October 16] to thank staff for taking 'such good care of us last night', after possibly needing to visit the NHS children's hospital with one of her five kids.

Sharing an image of the hospital's logo alongside a 'heroes' gif, Rebekah wrote to her 405,000 Instagram followers: "A big thank you to the staff at @leicterhospitals children's A&E for taking such good care of us last night. You are amazing."

Rebekah - who told Coleen Rooney to 'put your money where your mouth is' just hours after it was confirmed she will have to pay 90% of her fellow WAG's legal costs earlier this month - shares children Olivia Grace, two, Sofia, seven, and son Finley, five, with footballer Jamie Vardy.

The WAG - who tied the knot with the England striker in May 2016 - is also mum to daughter Megan, 15, and Taylor, 11, from previous relationships, however Leicester City player Jamie has since adopted Megan.

Rebekah offered no further details about her trip to hospital on Saturday night when updating her fans earlier today. The Mirror has approached representatives for the star for comment.

The former I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! star's latest social media update comes following the WAG seemingly putting the Wagatha Christie saga behind her to enjoy a date night with Jamie earlier this month.

Rebekah shared a series of snaps of herself and the footballer glammed up for a 'rare night out for mum and dad' last week, with the star's followers rushing to compliment the happy couple on their date night attire.

"Well deserved you two! Hope you had the best time," one of Rebekah's followers wrote underneath the snap, with another adding: "Power couple."

The married couple's night on the town came just one week on from the Rebekah taking to her Instagram Stories to tag Coleen in a post related to the outcome of their infamous Wagatha Christie saga - seemingly urging the Liverpool-born star to donate the £800,000 she is set to receive from her to charity.

In a ruling issued earlier this month, Judge Justice Steyn said Rebekah must pay 90% of Coleen's legal costs, and that an £800,000 down payment must be paid by 4pm on 15 November, following the judge ruling in Rooney's favour in July after the two WAGs' libel trial.

Telling Coleen to 'put your money where your mouth is', Rebekah shared an image of a jar labelled 'charity' and filled with coins with her Instagram followers, alongside an extract of a previous quote reportedly from a source close to Coleen discussing the libel drama earlier this year.

"She'd be far happier to see the money they would have spent on lawyers being used in a more positive and productive way," the quote regarding Coleen's apparent attitude to the 'Wagatha Christie' case shared with Rebekah's Instagram followers reads.

Rebekah followed up, writing: "@coleen_rooney Lets hope you put your money where your mouth is and some good can come out of this whole embarrassing spectacle."

Coleen has never commented or made any public statement regarding how sums recovered or awarded would be spent and there is no suggestion Wayne Rooney's wife has ever pledged to donate any money to charity.

Rebekah sensationally lost to Coleen, 36, in July after a seven-day blockbuster trial saw a number of revelations about both women and their famous partners made public in the High Court, after Rebekah launched a libel case against her fellow WAG in 2020.

The WAG launched libel proceedings against Coleen in 2020 after Wayne Rooney's wife accused her Instagram account of being behind leaked 'false stories' about her private life to the press - something Rebekah denied at the time and still does, despite Mrs Justice Steyn ruling in Coleen's favour.
