After more than a decade on mobile devices, Real Racing 3 is heading toward the finish line. The long-running racing title will be officially sunset, with developer Firemonkeys announcing that the game will be delisted from digital storefronts today and fully shut down in March 2026.
In a statement shared on X, the devs confirmed that Real Racing 3 will be delisted from the App Store and Google Play Store today, December 18, 2025, marking the beginning of the game’s final phase. While new players can no longer download the game, existing players will still be able to re-download it from their app libraries until the servers go offline on March 19, 2026.
Below is the statement in full:
Dear Racers,
The last twelve years have been a remarkable journey with all of you on Real Racing 3. Unfortunately, we’ve decided to retire from the race now.
We’ve made the difficult decision to sunset Real Racing 3. The game will be delisted from the App Store and Google Play on December 18, 2025, and will remain playable until March 19, 2026.
As a token of appreciation, the in-game announcement today will be followed by a grant of 1000 Gold, an Audi S1 e-tron quattro, and a 2023 Rimac Nevera to all our players. You can find more details in this blog post: https://lnk.to/thefinallap
Thank you for every lap, race, and victory.
Consolation Prizes And Video Game Preservation Debates

Due to Real Racing 3‘s days being numbered, in-game purchases have been disabled. Any in-game currency that players possess has been encouraged to be spent before the ultimate shutdown on March 19, 2026. Firemonkeys has also offered players the following perks as a gesture of gratitude:
- 1000 Gold
- Audi S1 e-tron quattro
- 2023 Rimac Nevera
Should players already have the cars offered, an equivalent amount of Gold will be offered to them.
Live-service mobile games like this are inherently difficult to sustain long-term, especially when they rely heavily on microtransaction-driven revenue. Still, in the replies of the original X post, many players have voiced frustration that Real Racing 3 won’t remain playable offline once its servers shut down in March. Such things have been hot topics, especially in a post #StopKillingGames world.
Being a 12-year-old game, a segment of players has likely dumped a ton of money into RR3. And, despite one player pointing out that the game can be played offline, it will be unavailable entirely come March.
Like it or not, Real Racing 3 is running its last laps.
