Real Madrid’s ‘plan to sign Eden Hazard’ if Chelsea reject transfer bid

Real Madrid won't entertain the prospect of paying the £100million Chelsea are demanding to let Eden Hazard leave.

But they do want him to put the pressure on to force through a move this summer.

The Spanish giants won't get near the Belgian's asking price with his contract up in June 2020.

But despite time ticking, Blues bosses continue to dig their heels in.

Hazard could have even increased his value with a double against West Ham on Monday night that lifted his side into third place in the Premier League.

Chelsea director of football Marina Granovskaia refuses to buckle and will only accept what they club think he is worth.

Maurizio Sarri willing to take pay cut for Premier League rule change

Real are desperate for a marquee signing after not filling Ronaldo's boots after allowing the superstar to leave for Juventus .

Madrid have been chasing the Blues man for a number of years and confidence is growing that this could be the window when it finally happens.

They will ask Hazard to push for the transfer if they can't cut a deal, the MailOnline claim.

Real would be willing to talk at nearer £85m for a player who scored his 18th goal of the season against West Ham on Monday night.

His Chelsea future remains in the air with the Belgian's contract at Stamford Bridge having just 15 months left to run.

Coach Maurizio Sarri declared in January that Hazard is free to leave if he wants - but the Italian hopes he chooses to stay put.

"Eden is 28. If he wants to go, I think he has to go," Sarri said earlier this year.

"Of course, I hope the opposite, I hope he wants to stay here.

"He has the potential to be the best player in Europe at the moment."

It's claimed that a deal will be struck this summer and he will finally become a Galactico three years after Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane first tried to sign him.
