Real Madrid 're-enter Neymar race' as PSG favour transfer over Barcelona return

Real Madrid have reportedly reignited their interest in PSG superstar Neymar.

The Brazilian wants to leave Paris this summer just two years after his world-record move from Barcelona .

His former club continue to lead the chase but president Josep Maria Bartomeu has insisted there is no deal on the cards.

Real Madrid have been linked in the past and could return with a formal offer this summer, despite Zinedine Zidane's spending spree.

And SPORT reports PSG would rather sell Neymar to Real over their La Liga rivals.

It is claimed Real have reactivated talks over the Brazil international, who failed to return to pre-season training with PSG earlier this week.

Real had made their first move at the end of the season but were unable to reach an agreement.

They have since snapped up Eden Hazard and Luka Jovic but that will not end their interest with Florentino Perez believing he can fill the commercial hole left by Cristiano Ronaldo last summer.

Neymar favours a return to Barcelona this summer but PSG's relationship with the La Liga champions has soured in the past couple of years.

And that could work in Real's favour, with Perez hoping negotiations between the two clubs continue right until the end of the transfer window with an agreement not reached.

Real hope Neymar would then push for an exit from PSG and move to the Bernabeu, if the right offer is on the table.

It is also claimed Real will be willing to offer Neymar the same terms he is currently on in Paris, with Barcelona's salary likely to be what he was earning before he departed in 2017.
