Masked intruders attempted to break into Real Housewives of Cheshire star Tanya Bardsley’s £2 million mansion while her family slept.
The terrifying incident took place just before midnight in Wilmslow, Cheshire, where Tanya, 44, lives with her husband, football manager Phil Bardsley, and their children.
Thankfully, the would-be robbers were scared off by the property’s security system before they could enter the home.
Video footage posted on Instagram shows a shirtless Phil, 39, speaking with two police officers outside their property. Officers were alerted by the couple’s private security team, Taurus Security Group.
Issuing a stern warning to others in the area, Tanya wrote on Instagram: "Two masked men in Wilmslow. Lock your doors, put your cameras on and call the police if you see them."
She added: "Thank God for Taurus Security Group."
A source told The Sun: "The family was home at the time, but luckily nobody was harmed. Security and police turned up as fast as they could, but the two masked men got away."
Tanya is the longest-serving cast member on The Real Housewives of Cheshire, having starred in the reality show since its debut in 2015.
She is married to Phil Bardsley, assistant manager of Macclesfield Town F.C. A former professional footballer, Phil began his career at Manchester United and went on to play for clubs including Royal Antwerp, Burnley, Rangers, Aston Villa, and Sheffield United.
The couple married in 2014 and share four children — Rocco, Renz, Ralphi, and Gabriella.
