Real Betis given Rangers boost as William Carvalho fit for crunch clash

Real Betis star William Carvalho has stunned the club by declaring himself fit to play against Rangers tomorrow, after he had previously been ruled out until the new year.

But Betis' joy at his return was dampened by another personnel blow with Brazilian winger Luis Henrique their latest major injury doubt.

Rangers need to win in Seville to be certain of qualifying for the next stage of the Europa League. They face a Betis side who are unbeaten at their Estadio Benito Villamarín fortress all season, as well as in La Liga home and away since September.

Key Portuguese midfielder Carvalho, who has 80 caps for his country, was initially ruled out until the new year with a hamstring injury. But he's now back in full training and is expected to play against Rangers.

However, 22-year-old winger Henrique was absent from training and is the latest player to go down injured for Manuel Pellegrini's side.

They are also set to be without French playmaker Nabil Fekir, Spanish defender Marc Bartra, Chilean keeper Claudio Bravo, and Senegalese right back Youssouf Sabaly, while Argentina's World Cup winner Guido Rodríguez is also missing for the game through suspension.
