Well there's good timing. No sooner had I posted my request for songs about the cold than the temperature had plummeted. We even had proper snow in London for the first time in ages - well, until about 9am anyway. It gave all the suggestions an authentic air. Many, many great songs on the blog. The parallel universe 10 would have featured Prince, the White Stripes, the Fiery Furnaces, Genius/GZA, Foreigner, Hüsker Dü, Floyd Tillman, Björk, Billie Holiday and Curve. Thanks for reminding me about Pink Frost. It's addictive.
This week, it's all about unrequited love. Nothing about dissolving or broken relationships please. Only songs in which the singer/narrator can't even get a romance off the ground. You're Beautiful would be an ideal example but the first person to recommend that gets barred for life.
