Ravens add talented pass catcher for QB Lamar Jackson in 2023 NFL mock draft by Bleacher Report

The Baltimore Ravens just wrapped up their 2022 draft, bringing in 11 talented rookies. However, some are already looking ahead to the 2023 draft and trying to figure out which prospects will fit on what teams.

In a “way-too-early” 2023 NFL mock draft, Brent Sobleski of Bleacher Report put together his predictions for the entirety of next year’s first round. For Baltimore, he has the team selecting wide receiver help at No. 18 overall in Kayshon Boutte out of LSU. When explaining his decision, Sobleski talked about how despite a season-ending injury, the wideout still managed to put up nine touchdowns.

“A season-ending ankle injury derailed Boutte’s 2021 campaign. The 6’0″, 205-pound Boutte still managed nine touchdown receptions in only six games. Going into last season, the LSU receiver led all returning Power Five receivers with an average of 7.6 yards after the catch per reception, per Pro Football Focus’ Austin Gayle…A healthy season could very well place Boutte in the same conversation as Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Jordan Addison—both of whom are top-10 picks in this projection.”

Boutte is a playmaker in every sense of the word, and would add another dynamic pass-catching weapon for quarterback Lamar Jackson. The team could look to add at the position in next year’s draft after trading away wide receiver Marquise Brown, and Boutte could give the Ravens a star talent next to fellow wide receiver Rashod Bateman.
