Arsenal have announced the signing of Nicolas Pepe from Lille thanks to a £72m deal which has fans excited to say the least.
The Gunners will pay for the fee in instalments after they beat off competition from clubs around Europe to secure the 23-year-old's signature.
Pepe was linked with Liverpool and even Manchester United during a summer packed full of speculation around his future.
There is no wonder why he became one of the hottest properties on the market when you consider his outstanding displays for Lille last season.
Pepe scored 22 times in Ligue 1 during the 2018/19 campaign and assisted eleven goals as he took his game to another level.
Arsenal ended up winning the race to sign the Ivory Coast international, though Napoli had agreed a fee with Lille as well before the winger put pen to paper on a deal with the Gunners.
On the back of announcing deals for Dani Ceballos and William Saliba at the end of last month, it's safe to say Arsenal fans are delighted right now.
And there is one man in particular who is getting praise above all others and that is Raul Sanllehi, the club's Head of Football, with the Pepe deal by far his biggest achievement since arriving at the Gunners.
