Rapper Travis Scott to turn himself in for questioning in Manhattan nightclub assault next week, NYPD sources say

NEW YORK — Rapper Travis Scott will face the music about an early-morning assault inside a Midtown Manhattan nightclub next week, the Daily News has learned.

The embattled Astroworld performer has agreed to meet with New York City Police Department detectives early next week regarding the Wednesday morning scrap inside Club Nebula on West 41st Street near Broadway. Scott is accused of punching a 52-year-old sound engineer and damaging the victim’s equipment.

After the club fight, Scott left the city and is currently in California, a police source said. His representatives helped arrange his return to New York for questioning next week.

He’s facing charges of criminal mischief and misdemeanor assault, police said.

The “Highest in the Room” rapper was inside the club about 2 a.m. when he got into an argument with the sound engineer.

During the spat, Scott allegedly punched the engineer in the face, leaving him with a minor injury, police said. He also tore a video screen and broke a speaker, racking up $12,000 in damages, cops said.

Scott appeared at rapper Don Tolliver’s show at Irving Plaza Tuesday night before showing up at Club Nebula.

In November 2021, Scott, 31, organized and headlined the deadly Astroworld music festival that left nine people dead at Houston’s NRG Park.

Since then, the nine-time Grammy nominee — and father of Kylie Jenner’s children — has been on the rebound through various career pursuits. He’s also seen mounting legal woes due to lawsuits from concertgoers injured at the concert.

In May, Scott performed at the 2022 Billboard Music Awards under the encouragement of host and producer Sean “Diddy” Combs. He also performed at Rolling Loud in Miami last month and has been announced as a performer at South America’s Primavera Sound festival in November.

He had a Las Vegas residency in September.
