Ranvir Singh 'set to become one of ITV’s highest earners' with bumper new contract

TV execs are reportedly set to make Ranvir Singh an offer which would "propel her to become one of ITV’s highest paid stars”.

Ranvir – a favourite on Strictly Come Dancing last year – is currently Good Morning Britain's political editor.

But her contract is up in the summer and a tug-of-war was expected to start for her services.

However, ITV have pulled out all the stops to keep the 43-year-old after BBC viewers were dazzled by her on Strictly.

Telly insiders said after the show: "I don't think you'll be seeing her standing outside No10 in the early hours again – Ranvir is now a star."

Now, according to reports, a bumper deal is said to be on the table to see her stay with tempting money being offered.

A network source told The Daily Mail : "Ranvir is loved at ITV and by its viewers, she has everything that the channel needs to move forward.

"There are lots of high-profile projects in the pipeline, too.

"The intention is that she will be one of the more used presenters. Nobody wants to lose her."

Ranvir presented Daybreak from 2012 to 2014 before becoming a correspondent on Good Morning Britain.

Her climb has impressed many, with ITV bosses said to be not prepared to lose her to a rival.

Ranvir and Giovanni Pernice were romantically linked during the last series and as fans hoped there was more to come.

But body language expert Judi James dashed their hopes

"There were no visible attempts to bridge this physical gap with any lingering glances or knowing smiles, either," Judi told The Mirror.
