Rangers striker Jermaine Defoe involved in three-car crash at Clyde Tunnel

Jermaine Defoe has been involved in a three-car crash near the Clyde Tunnel.

The Rangers striker was spotted standing beside badly damaged vehicles on Balshagray Avenue at the north bound exit following the collision at around 6pm this evening.

An image shared by the Daily Record shows the 36-year-old speaking to officers at the scene.

Police Scotland there were no casualties and that they were still in attendance.

A force spokesman said: "We responded to reports of a three vehicle crash at Balshagray Avenue at around 6pm.

"There was no injury to any persons and police are at the scene."

A Rangers spokesman said: "There was a collision earlier this evening involving Jermain Defoe and we are happy and relieved to say that no one was seriously injured."

The crash follows Rangers 5-0 win over Aberdeen at Ibrox.
