Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos 'on two-man shortlist' for Bologna

Speculation continues to intensify regarding the future of Alfredo Morelos.

It was reported last month that Lille had discussed personal terms with the Colombian, while the likes of Lazio and Napoli have also been credited with interest in the 24-year-old.

Their fellow Serie A side Bologna have previously been mentioned in connection with Morelos, and they are now reported to have added him to a two-man shortlist.

According to Italian website il Resto del Carlino, Morelos is joined by Real Sociedad forward Aleksander Isak on that shortlist, with Rangers unwilling to settle for less than €20 million (£18 million).

Morelos has scored 77 goals in 138 games since arriving at Ibrox  in 2017.

He started in Rangers' 1-0 victory against Aberdeen at Pittodrie on Sunday, and manager Steven Gerrard hailed his team's performance.

Speaking on Rangers TV, he said : "I thought the players right through the team were outstanding today. It's another clean sheet which has to be our foundation. Clean sheets will take us where we want to get to.

"I think to a man everyone has come to a difficult place today and performed ever so well. We deserve our victory."
