Rangers starting team news vs Hearts as Michael Beale aims to keep pressure up on Celtic at the top

Michael Beale has named his Rangers team to face Hearts as he bids to maintain his unbeaten run and keep the pressure on Celtic.

The Light Blues boss is yet to suffer a loss since taking over from Giovanni van Bronckhorst at Ibrox but despite an impressive run of form and results he has been unable to claw back any of the nine point gap he inherited thanks to the relentless form of Ange Postecoglou and his Hoops side - who face Livingston tonight as part of a blockbuster midweek Premiership card.

Rangers are in second spot and face a full of confidence Hearts side who are flying one spot behind them in third. Robbie Neilson's men are unbeaten in their last ten outings and currently hold a seven point lead over David Martindale's Lions in fourth as they bid to pull further away in their bid to finish best of the rest and return to European group stage football once again after enjoying a Europa Conference League campaign that included home and away wins over RFS.

Speaking ahead of the trip to the capital, Beale said: “I think Robbie has done a fantastic job at Hearts. Playing in Europe kicks you on two or three notches and the fact they had European group stage football this year would have taken his players on two or three levels too.

“I think we're seeing that domestically now in their performances, it is the strongest Hearts squad I can remember, and I always like going to Tynecastle.

"It is always a feisty game and we take a good number of fans there, I’m sure they're looking forward to us going there on Wednesday and we're looking forward to going there as well.”

Rangers XI: McGregor, Tavernier, Goldson, Davies, Barisic, Lundstram, Kamara, Tillman, Kent, Fashion JR, Morelos

Subs: McLaughlin, Jack, Colak, Cantwell, Sands, Wright, King, Devine, Lowry
