Rangers starlet Cole McKinnon 'could' join Partick Thistle in loan transfer

Rangers kid Cole McKinnon could be set for a loan move to Partick Thistle, according to a report.

The 19-year-old is highly-rated by the Light Blues and was handed his top team debut last month.

He climbed off the bench and scored in the same match against Hearts.

The Scottish Sun report that Rangers would like him to gain more first team experience and he could now be set for a stint in the Scottish Championship.

He spent two months on loan at East Fife last year and he could be set for another temporary exit from Giovanni van Bronckhorst's side.

Thistle boss Ian McCall has formed a good relationship with Rangers and he could be set to gain from that once again.

He has previously signed the likes of Zak Rudden from the club and also landed Lewis Mayo on loan.

Earlier today both clubs learned their fixture schedules for the 2022/23 campaign.

Rangers kick-off the season with a difficult away trip to the Tony Macaroni Arena to face Livingston.

The Jags have an equally tough test of their own with an away day at Dens Park against Dundee.
