Rangers star 'set' for Ibrox exit as international eyes up financial windfall

Nedim Bajrami could be "set" to leave Rangers for Al-Taawoun in Saudi Arabia, according to a new report.

The Albanian international winger, who joined Rangers in 2024, has struggled to secure a regular starting place under new manager Derek McInnes. He is not part of Danny Rohl's replacement's long-term plans at the Ibrox club.

Now, the Scottish Sun has reported that discussions are in progress for a potential £2.5 million move to Al-Taawoun.

Per the report, the Saudi club is initially aiming for a loan agreement, but Rangers are keen on a direct sale.

This would allow them to cash in on Bajrami, who cost the club around £3.4 million when he transferred from Italian side Sassuolo two years ago.

With other clubs also expressing interest, Bajrami's departure seems inevitable as McInnes continues his summer squad overhaul.

So far this summer, McInnes has welcomed Lawrence Shankland, Ross McCrorie, Ben Godfrey, Ivor Pandur, Dan Neil, Cammy Devlin and Vanja Dragojevic to Rangers.

Additionally, the club are set to seal a permanent deal for Philadelphia Union defender Olwethu Makhanya, with an announcement imminent.
