Rangers star Ianis Hagi 'wanted' in £6m transfer by Galatasaray but offer 'rejected' by Ibrox side

Rangers star Ianis Hagi has been the subject of a £6million bid from Galatasaray, according to reports.

The attacker hasn't played since suffering a long-term injury in the Scottish Cup win over Stirling Albion back in January.

Hagi has been documenting his return to fitness on Instagram although no set date has emerged for the Romania international.

Galatasaray are hoping to take advantage of him being out by bringing him to Turkey, with the 23-year-old admitting previously he would like to play for them in his career.

His dad Gheorghe is a legend at the club but Romanian outlet Sport.ro say that the offer for Hagi has been knocked back with the attacker viewed as a key player for Giovanni van Bronckhorst next season.

New UEFA Europa Conference League champions Roma are also credited with an interest in the report but Jose Mourinho decided against a formal offer due to his current injury status.

Connor Goldson looks set to leave on a free transfer with his contract set to expire.

Allan McGregor is taking time to consider his playing future while Leon Balogun and Steven Davis are yet to agree fresh terms for the new campaign.

The Rangers boss is also likely to dip into the market to bring in his own reinforcements.

While he will also face big decisions over the likes of Joe Aribo, Ryan Kent and Alfredo Morelos who are all entering the final year of their current deals.
