Rangers reject Ross McCrorie bid as Hibs move 'appears to be dead'

Rangers have reportedly rejected Hibs' offer for Ross McCrorie.

The Easter Road side made a £200,000 bid for the Scotland U-21 star on Wednesday.

But the Scottish Sun claim the Ibrox club swiftly knocked back the approach and the move 'appears to be dead' with Hibs priced out of a deal.

The same report says McCrorie was keen on joining the Edinburgh club, however, as he looked for regular first team football.

McCrorie has struggled to force his way into Steven Gerrard's plans and was sent on loan last season to Portsmouth.

Rangers are willing to part ways with the midfielder if the price is right, but Hibs' initial offer was deemed to be wide of their valuation.

Jack Ross is looking add more reinforcements after the arrivals of Kevin Nisbet, Drey Wright and Alex Gogic this summer.
