Rangers legend Paul Gascoigne breaks silence on his son coming out as bisexual

Rangers legend Paul Gascoigne has spoken for the first time of his son coming out as bisexual.

Gazza, 53, revealed that he was unaware of dancer Regan’s sexuality until just before an interview on Lorraine Kelly’s ITV show last year.

He said: “He texted me the night before and I saw him on TV talking about it.

“I told him, ‘It doesn’t matter what you do son,
I will support you 100 per cent, you have to do what makes you happy’.

“I thought ‘bless him’. To go on TV and do that is hard. He is a professional dancer, he is a fit guy, and I am very proud of him.”

Recalling his 1998 divorce from Regan’s mum Sheryl, 54, he said: “I didn’t get married to get divorced, it took me six years to get over that.

“Emotionally it was really tough, and I have been single ever since."

He stressed that he was coping with his addiction to alcohol during lockdown but added: “You can never say never with the drink.

“You can socialise and have a few beers. I can have one if I want but for me one is a waste of time.”
