Rangers would prefer to sell Jose Cifuentes instead of sending him on another loan.
The midfielder is back at Ibrox after a loan spell in Greece with Aris Thessaloniki last season. He had previously made the temporary switch to Cruzeiro in Brazil.
Reports have suggested that another Brazilian side, Sport Recife, are now interested in taking the 26-year-old on loan.
However, Rangers are not prepared to sanction another loan exit for the Ecuador international and would rather do a deal too move him in permanently, reports the Rangers Review.
