Rangers' Ibrox Disaster dead mocked by sick '66 ha ha' stickers in Glasgow

Sick stickers which appear to mock the Rangers' fans who died during the Ibrox Disaster have appeared in Glasgow city centre.

Bearing "66" in bold black ink with "haha" alongside in red text, the stickers seem to be a clear reference to the number of people who died in Scotland's worst football stadium disaster on the south side of Glasgow in 1971.

The stickers which look home made have been stuck to lampposts in Glasgow's Buchanan Street and also in the grounds of the City of Glasgow College in Cathedral Street.

Similarly styled stickers have also appeared with "KAH" on them, the Record understands this is an abbreviation of "Kill All Huns".

Stickers with KAH on them have been plastered in Glasgow city centre (UGC)

It's believed to be a play on the abbreviation KAI (Kill All Irish), used by Loyalists in Northern Ireland and daubed on Irish tricolours burnt during annual Battle of the Boyne celebrations.

The disaster which took place on January 2, 1971 claimed the lives of 66 people at Ibrox Park after an Old Firm derby between Rangers and Celtic.

More than 200 other people were also injured as a deadly crush took place on stairway 13 as fans toppled as they attempted to exit the ground following the final whistle.
