Rangers 'hold talks' with Nottingham Forest 'target'

Rangers have reportedly held talks with Nottingham Forest 'target' Martin Olsson.

According to The Sun, Steven Gerrard's side spoke to the Sweden international, released by Swansea City in May, last week.

Forest have also been credited with an interest in the 31 year-old, the twin brother of Derby County full-back Marcus Olsson.

The report adds that Martin O'Neill's side are 'poised' to offer the 48-cap left-back a deal, with Rangers short at the position following Lee Wallace's departure for Queens Park Rangers.

Olsson suffered a ruptured Achilles in December, ruling him out of the latter half of last season as the relegated Swans finished in 10th place in the Championship.

The former Norwich City and Blackburn Rovers man has extensive Premier League experience, making just shy of 200 top flight appearances during his career so far.
