Rangers fan Gordon Smith traced in Seville after vanishing following Europa League final

Rangers fan Gordon Smith, who was reported missing in Seville after vanishing after the Europa League final, has been found.

The 42-year-old was last seen by his brother Craig, 23, at around 11pm on Wednesday, before they became separated.

Gordon, from Renfrew, went to go to the toilet but failed to return and had not been in contact with any relatives since.

His sister, Danielle Ashleigh Smith, commented from Paisley yesterday: "Gordon was least seen after the match. He went to a toilet at the fan zone and my brother Craig had his things.

“Gordon never returned back to where Craig was waiting for him and Craig has been looking ever since.

“Their belongings were stolen at some point in the early hours from Craig. He’s sure that Gordon’s passport was amongst this but his phone and money definitely were.”

Danielle issues an update today (Friday, May 20) around 10.30am to say Gordon had been traced and was safe.

Posting on Facebook, she said: "Thank you everyone for all your shares and comments

"He’s safe and en route to some accommodation."
