Rangers' dream title scenario at Celtic Park still on after St Johnstone win opens door to possibility

Rangers could rub salt into Celtic's wounds as celebrating the title at Parkhead still remains a possibility after this weekend's results.

Odsonne Edouard's winning brace in Perth following the Ibrox side's 1-0 win over Kilmarnock on Saturday meant Steven Gerrard's men are four wins away from sealing the league crown.

And it could potentially become official after the third Glasgow derby of the season on March 21.

Celtic are currently on 61 points, with a game in hand, while Rangers have built an 18 point gap at the Premiership summit on 79 points.

With ten games remaining for Neil Lennon's side, their maximum points total is 91.

Rangers need 12 points to match that with games against Dundee United, Livingston, St Mirren and their visit to Celtic Park up next.

If they win all four of those fixtures, a win over Celtic would ensure their rivals could not catch them.

If Celtic draw one of their next four games, Rangers could also go into the Old Firm derby knowing a point would be enough for them have a title party on the Hoops' own turf.
