Rangers Champions League squad confirmed with Hagi, Helander and Roofe decisions made

Rangers have confirmed who is and isn't in their Champions League squad for the upcoming season.

The Light Blues have had a weekend to forget after a crushing 4-0 loss against rivals Celtic on Saturday but there's little room for dwelling with major European action around the corner. They travel to Holland and Ajax on Wednesday for the first game in a Champions League group that involves English Premier League title chasers Liverpool plus Italian heavyweights Napoli.

Manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst has named his Rangers squad for these fixtures and there's no room for Ianis Hagi, Filip Helander and Kemar Roofe as they continue their respective comebacks from injury. A host of academy youngsters are involved via player list B while UEFA lists James Sands as a midfielder, despite playing in defence for all of this season. Fashion Sakala is also named in that department with Tom Lawrence in the forward areas.
