Rangers attacker set for English transfer after Scottish clubs 'alerted' to potential move

Rangers man Josh McPake is set to depart Ibrox again for England as Tranmere line up a loan move until the end of the season.

The Coatbridge youngster has been on loan at Stephen Robinson's Morecambe this season but his spell has been plagued by injury.

McPake will move elsewhere in the January transfer window in a bid to reboot his 21/22 season.

That club may be Tranmere, with the Scottish Sun reporting that the League Two team are 'set' to land him when the transfer window opens.

Scottish outfits have been 'alerted' by McPake's switching of clubs but England is still the preferred choice for the 20-year-old, who spent part of last season at Harrogate Town.

He's also had loan spells at Dundee and Morton.

McPake signed a new contract with Rangers in July that ties him to the club until summer 2024.
